Saint Thomas the Apostle Orthodox Church

Lead by the Holy Spirit, our Patron Saint Thomas went to India to establish the faith. In the same Spirit, but in far less dramatic fashion, the faithful of St. Thomas mission parish in Southern Maryland are working and praying to establish the very first Orthodox Church in this part of the country.

Despite our small size and the economic recession, we are committed to building a beautiful Carpatho Rusyn inspired church. Please pray for us.

If you would like to help us financially, you may contribute to the building fund using PayPal. Contributions over $1,000 will be memorialized with a plaque in the church. Above is a rendering of our current design, looking toward Leonardtown Road from the future parking lot entrance off the driveway (at right), soon to be renamed "Apostle Thomas Way". Our present building is hidden behind the new church in this view. “Where are the crosses on the domes,” you ask? Why, waiting for donors, of course!
